Born in London in 1968, Platon was raised in the Greek Isles until his family returned to England in the mid-’70s. After a bachelor’s degree with honors in Graphic Design, he went on to receive a Masters in Photography and Fine Art at the Royal College of Art.

In 2013, Platon founded The People’s Portfolio, a non-profit foundation dedicated to celebrating emerging leaders of human rights and civil rights around the world. His first film, My Body Is Not A Weapon, features survivors of wartime sexual violence and 2018 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Denis Mukwege. In 2021, he collaborated with Rupi Kaur on 3 short films for UNHCR' s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

In 2020, Platon presented his first series of Eye Love You, Eye Hate You; a historic and monumental collection featuring magnified iris portraits belonging to an array of the world's most well-known figures. This show included 12 individual iris NFTs.

Platon’s life’s work is the subject of a new Netflix documentary, Abstract: The Art of Design. In April 22,  he gave an awe-inspiring TED Talk recounting stories of monumental people - from Michelle Obama and Pussy Riot to Vladimir Putin, Stephen Hawkin and Muhammad Ali.
